Putnam County Tennessee caught a repeat offender

A arrest has been made in Cookeville involving a gang member with a history of felonies, according to Putnam County Sheriff's Office (PCSO).
Police say Kevin Otey, a member of the "Traveling Vice Lords" gang, was taken into custody by the PCSO on Sept. 17. This arrest followed a search warrant executed at his home on Cardinal Street, according to officers.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Algood Police Department, say they discovered illegal drugs and firearms at Otey's residence. Detectives reported finding cocaine, marijuana, a shotgun, a pistol, and over $3,000 in cash.

Otey faces multiple charges, including the manufacture and sale of controlled substances and unlawful possession of weapons. His bond is set at $850,000, with a court date scheduled for Oct. 27.
