Trump like former Republican and Democratic presidents did.

in 1980 President Reagan sent a battle group off the coast of Columbia to put pressure on their government about bringing narcotics in to the U.S. 1989 Bush #41 sent a battle group off the coast of Panama. During Clinton’s time he had sent two battle groups off the cost of Columbia. Bush #43 kept those battle groups there and when Obama took office he sent them to Mexico and Central America. Biden recalled all military personnel back to US borders and sent money to these drug countries.  So our current president is doing what we elected him to do.

Tennessee judge blocks Trump's use of National Guard in Memphis but gives time for government appeal

What these courts fail to understand is they have no control over the executive branch as to Article 2  Davidson County Chancellor Patricia Head Moskal's decision sides with Democratic state and local officials who sued, contending that Republican Gov. Bill Lee cannot deploy the Tennessee National Guard for civil unrest unless there is rebellion or invasion, and even then, it would require action by state lawmakers. The plaintiffs also said another provision spells out a need for a request from a local government to use the Guard in some scenarios, including a “breakdown of law and order,” they said.  Moskal agreed that the defendants have a likelihood of success in their lawsuit based on their claims that calling the National Guard into the city violates the state’s military code and that they have shown “they are suffering or will suffer irreparable harm” if the injunction isn’t granted. But she also paused the order for at least five days so that the government has time to...

$2,000.00 check to the American people

Image
Don’t spend that money just yet! Rumors are circulating online that the federal government will issue new stimulus checks before the end of the year. But Congress has not passed any legislation authorizing payments, and the IRS has not confirmed that any new stimulus checks are scheduled in the coming weeks. According to a Monday morning social media post, the president seems to think there would be enough money left after tariff rebate checks are doled out to help pay down the nation’s nearly $40 trillion in debt. “All money left over from the $2000 payments made to low and middle income USA Citizens, from the massive Tariff Income pouring into our Country from foreign countries, which will be substantial, will be used to SUBSTANTIALLY PAY DOWN NATIONAL DEBT,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. Although stimulus checks have proven politically popular in the past, they have come almost exclusively during recessions or emergencies. The American economy is in neither at the moment. Rebate ch...

Sweet truck to sweet spot Tippsy Cow Ice Cream

Image
Food truck sweet truck yummy located in Lancing, Tn now moves to Wartburg. They are next door to our own Tommy Francis who runs Morgan County Today. They are looking for local pastries made in your own kitchens to help get your products out to the public maybe even get you started in your own bakery. This will give Tanners a run for their money when it comes to ice cream and pastries. Two great places to hang out at to bad there is no Italian bakery that serves coffee with chairs and small table while the old guys sit gossip enjoying a cigar while eating a biscotti and drinking coffee. But at least we can hang out eat a cone and look at our town grow. Lets keep mom and pop stores in business and say goodbye to big box companies who only care about the bottom line and not the people who shop in their stores.
